So Many Wedding Updates!

Kate and I took a bit of a break from our wedding planning during the holidays. When I say we took a break, what I mean is that I took a break and Kate tried really, really, really hard to refrain from talking about planning the wedding with me. Kudos to my fiance, because she did a fantastic job. No seriously, she did such a great job that I thought she might explode.

A few updates since the New Year in bullet-ed form (is there really any better form? Cause I don’t think so. It’s so efficient):

  • Kate asked all of her bridesmaids if they would be, well, her bridesmaids. Of course she put together these lovely gift packages consisting of a bottle of wine, a ring wine stopper, cutouts of our wedding colors and a thoughtful card made up of photos of the two of them. I suck.
  • Robert asked a couple of his groomsmen if they would be his groomsmen. He went snowboarding with them, happened to think about it and popped the question. They were pumped and he received a couple of wonderful high fives out of it. He can only assume this was par for the course for groomsmen acceptance. He should probably finish asking the rest before they start talking to one another. C’mon man.
  • We locked down the venue! The Riverside Place in Spokane is where we will be dancing the night away. It’s a slick old Masonic Temple (the right amount of cool, and weird).
  • We’re starting to reach out to wedding caterers. We’ve got a few dishes we think we’d like to include – Kate is letting me get whatever I want here. I’m not sure she knows that I’ve notice this gesture or not. If not, it’s in writing now!
  • Save the dates have been printed! Our friend Kayla Miller designed and printed them for us, which was extremely nice of her. We will be adding a photo and sending them out by the end of Feb. We hope. Thanks again Kayla!
  • My brother and Best Man has agreed to take our Engagement photos the next time we can get a rain free day (ha) and we’re all available (ha). Hopefully sometime before we send out the save the dates. If not, you might have to wait and see them when the wedding invitations get sent out. No Daniel, these are not the same thing; I’ve already gone over this with you.
  • I turned 30.
  • You’ve already watched Super Bowl 50 if you caught the Divisional Round playoff game between the Hawks and Panthers. We will be back folks.
