Robert was lucky enough to have a best friend at the ripe old age of nearly 2 years old. He was tired of being the youngest child and figured it would work to his advantage to be situated between two siblings. Amber, being a good big sister, surely had reasoned with him as well. That’s the short story of how Daniel was accepted into the family, though his folks may have a different version.
As young brothers, Robert and Daniel shared a special relationship. Where one went, the other followed. When one fell off the top of a pyramid during gym class, the other one re-injured themselves doing a handstand in gym class. They constantly competed with each other and even learned how to take punches from each other. The purest definition of brotherly love – their mother still doesn’t quite understand.
As they grew into adulthood, they remained very close. It’s unusual to have more than a day or two go by without one calling the other a names via text message. You can think of it as their way of checking in and letting the other know they care. They share many friends, hobbies and comedic tastes and never take each other for granted. The early loss of their sister, Amber, taught them that no matter how bad things get, you’ll always have your brother there to help you through it.
If you were to ask either of them what the most important thing in this world is, neither of them would hesitate to tell you it’s family. Robert is extremely excited to have Daniel (aka Dan) be part of this special day and look forward to being the ultimate teammates and competitors for their rest of their lives.
